I put on my boots then went outside on the one day the rain held off.
Everywhere I went it was standing water and mud.
I found lots of violets blooming all over the yard.
I don’t think that’s the real name .
Looking across the yard full of blooming violets many snowdrops were mixed in.
That is one tall crane compared to little me.
I did have to be careful to not get snagged on all the thorns growing on this bush.
It would be awful if my sweater got hooked and I couldn’t get down.
I didn’t get close just in case it was poisonous to me.
I had fun exploring even with the standing water and mud.
Summer with dry weather will surely arrive sometime.

The violets are so pretty before the lawn mower person comes and mows them all down.

Glad you were not snagged by the thorny but beautiful shrub! Enjoyed your walk about and the flowers. our yard is also full of little violets!

I was so worried about being snagged on the thorns. I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life hanging in a bush having birds pecking at me.
