Finished Santa Sweaters

Santa’s together modeling four different cable patterned sweaters.

The sweater on the far right is not a cabled sweater..

I decided to take a break from cables and knit eight more sweaters. I let the yarn dictate the pattern.
As I finish sweater nine and ten each Santa will be able to choose two more new sweaters.
Admiring the sweaters.
They don’t want to choose sweaters until the next two are finished.

Sweater Time for the Santa’s

This is the time for Sweater Sister’s mini sweater challenge. This year the four sweaters will include a cable in the pattern.

The Santa’s are ready for new sweaters this year. Here Santa is looking at the double cable panel sweater. It is the first one to be knit for him this year.

Choosing the yarn color for his sweater.
Getting his size 000 needles out.
Finished turtleneck collar of his sweater.
The first fitting of the sweater. Now on to the sleeves.
The finished sweater.
A happy Santa.

Three more sweaters will be knit. One a week for the next three weeks. Will post as the next three Santa’s get their sweaters.

More 3″ knitted Izzy Characters

What is she knitting now?
The paper say 3″ something.
Lots of shades of brown yarn here.
Maybe she is knitting a squirrel.
Whatever is being knit is coming along just fine.
Stills looks like it could be a squirrel.
Sorry ACorn a fox was being knit.
Looks like you have a few new animal friends.
Where is that ACorn anyway.
No this is not ACorn it’s Phew.
He likes the new friends. A fox a chicken and an owl.
I guess she wasn’t knitting a squirrel.
Wow! Four new ones have been made.
What do you think ACorn?
Do you think she’s going to make more??????

Stay At Home Knitting

At this time everyone is staying home.
My person has many small balls of leftover lace weight yarn.
She has been using them to knit little people.
She purchased the patterns on Ravelry the designer is Esther Braithwaite.
Here she is knitting a rabbit.
I can’t wait to see it when she is finished.
This is the first little person she knit.
Now the little person has a brother .
Oh my!
Another one .
Everytime I turn around another little person is added to the group.
A little nurse is knit complete with her mask.
A bowl full of little people.
But wait there is one more.
The little rabbit is done.
She still has lots of bits and bobs of yarn left.
I think more little people will be made.

New Shawls for all

All the ladies are sporting new shawls.
The human in the family stopped at a second hand store.

She found large skeins of lace weight yarn in three different colors.
This is the latest skein she found it’s peach.
We all checked it over to see what could be made with it.
Rachel on the far left had her shawl crocheted from this yarn.
We really have no idea what else will be made from this large
bit of yarn. We know we’ll like whatever it is.
We are comfy cozy warm in the shawls that have been knit and crocheted for us.
In the meantime Sarah and I are rolling the leftover lavender yarn into a ball.
In our drafty house we all have warm shoulders .

Amelia is getting a bear rug

My person found a pattern on etsy.
The pattern is by The Bead loom Gallery.
It’s for a bear rug my size.
It is knit and crocheted.
I’m patiently waiting for her to make it.
The head is finished.
The body is being knit.
It’s almost finished.
The rug will work great as a reading rug.
When it’s finished I am going to sit on it and read my favorite book.
The Forgotten Bear by Consuelo Joerns.

Lily in her elf outfit

Lily in her elf outfit.
Lily also has a vest to go with her dress.
In Lily’s world when an elf goes out to play reindeer show up.
Rudolph is peeking out from behind the tree to see what’s going on.
You can bet when you see one deer their will be more.
A second deer coming out.
Now their are four of them.
Lily was a little startled when she saw them standing behind her.
When she realized it was Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, and Prancer everything was fine.
She told them she would soon be decorating the tree . They all said they would help if she needed them.

Amelia and her new clothes

Amelia is on her way to see her new dresses.
The ride on the pig is rather slow.
Amelia slips and slides on piggy’s back.
Shes fearful of falling off.
Finally Amelia arrives.
Checking out her newly knit dress.
She seems pleased .
She looks at the yellow dress.
Then wonders why she has two dresses the same color.
Amelia is very thrilled to see piggy is getting
a new riding blanket knit for him.
Now when she’s on piggy’s back he can go faster and she won’t fall off.
