A new cape

It was finally cool enough for me to wear my
new cape outside.
Right away I found a feather bigger than me.
A woolly worm crawling in the grass.
Lots of them are around this Fall.
This is a big rock.
I managed to climb over it.
As I turned to go in the deer was coming for its nightly corn.

Small knitting

My person said if I picked out some yarn she’d
do her best to knit me a Winter cape.
I picked out a very thin blue yarn.
It goes nice with my eye color.
She did tell me it might take some time to knit my cape since the yarn is so thin.
Well she has the hood knit already.
Maybe it won’t take her very long after all.

Pepper’s Friend

Pepper rode in ACorn’s seat as she went to the Post Office.
She was so excited.
A package had arrived. It was for her.
Her person helped her open it in the car
Inside the box was a new arrival.
A little friend for Pepper.
Pepper had brought along a dress for the new girl to wear.
It was rather large . The new girl is smaller than Pepper.
Since we were going to be out for the day she had to wear it.
I guess our person will have to get to work on something suitable for her.

Pepper’s Package

I have been waiting patiently for my package.
It has arrived. I can hardly wait to open it.
I had to climb on top of it.
I’m getting it open.
All these peanuts need to be removed.
Now to get the wrapping off.
Oh my goodness she is happy to be out.
A new little girl for me.
Lets go visit my person.
Maybe she will make you some clothes.

Painted Furniture

My person is helping me paint my furniture.
My bed is pink.
I’m looking forward to getting a mattress .
Then a couple of new pillows.
My table and chair have been painted a light green.
My end table will be the next piece to get painted.
It doesn’t look like it in this picture
my little end table has a blue top and bottom.
We still have to paint the sides and the door.

Pepper

The lamp house is rather small.
It is the right size for me.
I’m busy moving in.
I only have a few pieces in my home.
A bed, cupboard, comfortable chair.
I also have a small table and a kitchen chair.
My person made a tablecloth for my table.
She is going to make a mattress for my bed and a cover.
We can’t decide if we want to paint the furniture or not.
We will see how it looks after I am moved in.

Owl at the Ocean

My person said I should make my own card.
Her card is 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″.
My card is 1 1/2 ” x 1 1/2″.
I used my chalk colors to make my background.
A piece of folded fabric is a post
for my owl to sit on.
I wanted something that looks like a fishing net.
This will work just fine.
Now where do I want to put it???
Got my piece of fishing net in the corner of my picture.
Now to get my shells on my piece.
TA DA!
It’s finished. I can’t wait to show ACorn.
He’s going to love it.
I call it… Owl at the Ocean.

Helping with an ATC (artist trading card)

I’m helping my person make another ATC card.
I like helping her with these.
I get to play with the chalks and make an ocean .
This is what she is working on with her ocean card.
It’s my job to find tiny shells to use on our cards.
The colors and sizes of these shells will probably work.
We still have a lot more to do on our cards.
I have some ideas of how I want mine to look.
Will show my card when I’m done with it.

Hungry Hungry Caterpillars

We found the caterpillars on the milkweed plant today.
Lots of munching was going on.
We are going to have some butterflies.
My person’s camera couldn’t focus on
the caterpillar and me at the same time.
The milkweed plant is grown for these worms.
The doe followed us around the yard.
She wanted her corn.
She’s getting fed now.

Flowers at night

Looking at flowers in my yard in the dark.
Liatris also known as Blazingstars or Gayfeathers are blooming. Lots of them.
I like to call them blazingstars.
Queen Ann’s Lace it shows up really good in the dark.
I know it’s a weed but it’s pretty.
Milk weed buds and flowers.
We grow it for the Monarch Butterflies.
Bright Red Petunias really stand out.
Rose of Sharon has closed up tight .
My little coral bells. They are flowers that fit my size.
Last flowers of the night.
Bee Balm for the Bees.
